map was commissioned by the Oregon-California Trails Association [OCTA] based in Independence, MO.
The map shows the major trails used by the pioneering immigrants moving
across the Great Plains and Rockies to new lives in the West.

the National Parks & Recreation,
however, additional trails and adjustments
were made by Charmaine per trail
All illustrations, conceptual layouts, typography design, and image selection were produced by Charmaine.
